Welcome to my website.
I have built my reliable reputation focusing on smaller to medium size projects and home repairs. Since I work alone I choose the projects I know I can be successful with as a one man show.
I receive a lot of inquiries and do pass on the projects that aren't for me, or would be more efficient with a larger crew. I always have your best interest in mind.
PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT TO EXPECT FROM SILVER HAMMER HANDYMAN.
My wife and I also have a handmade craft store B and D Wood Decor (and More!)
I look forward to hearing from you,
As always, thank you for supporting small businesses.

Estimate vs Consultation and site visits.
When I first started this business I was so excited people were calling I would drive around going on estimates in person. As my reputation and business has grown over the years, I now receive so many emails, calls and texts I can't possibly drive out to meet everyone as much as I may like to so I had to change how I provide estimates, consultations and site visits.
Estimate:
The first step is to submit pictures of the project(s) or damaged areas.
You can email them silverhammerhandyman@gmail.com .
Once I receive and review them we can discuss further and I can provide a FREE ballpark estimate over the phone and/or email if I feel this is a project I can do for you.
Consultation and site visit:
I can also offer an in person consultation and site visit to go over your project in more detail such as providing damage solutions, design ideas, etc...
An in person consultation costs $125 which will be credited toward the total of the project should you choose to move forward.
My prefered way to correspond is email. I am up at 5am every morning answering emails while enjoying a cup of coffee with our two cats Sadie and Ashley who are wide awake! Once I head out for the day I am focused on the project so I can not always answer the phone or check emails, so please leave a voicemail or send an email.
I do my best to respond as soon as possible.
Communication.
Good communication is key.
It's only me, so I am the one who will discuss the project with you, answer your questions, give you the estimate and write your contract.
We will outline the project in writing and review it with you before any work is done. Once a contract is signed and a project is started, I will answer any questions you may have along the way as well.
Trust: Know who you are hiring.
I have deliberately made a presence on social media and am a member of the neighborhood community groups on Facebook and Nextdoor. There are plenty of reviews, referrals and comments about my company and the work I do.
If you would like to personally speak to a previous customer I have plenty of them who can share their experiences.
Although a lot more people are working from home these days, there are still the unfortunate ones that need to trek to the office.
Plenty of homeowners allow me to come in and complete the work while they are not home. This is convenient for them and doesn't interfere with their work schedule. I appreciate and respect their trust in me.
Clean drop clothes every time.
I launder my clothes after each job so they are dust free and clean when I begin work in your home. I have the Festool dust extractor vacuum and sander to keep dust to a minimum. I use zip walls and plastic to section off areas in your home to keep them safe and clean.
Organization is important.
Together we will go over all the specific details of the work and make sure there is a schedule and timeline so the homeowner knows what to expect as the project proceeds.
I like to have all materials purchased and on site before the job begins to ensure the project is not held up. This way if anything comes in damaged or is delayed there is time to adjust the schedule and correct anything before the work begins.
One project at a time.
Since I work alone I stick to one project at a time. In other words, I don't start a job and then disappear. All the work will be scheduled in advance and specific dated chosen for the work.
Subcontractors.
I work with specific electricians and plumbers that I have used many times and have built a relationship with. As a handyman I am allowed to do minor electrical and plumbing like changing fixtures, but for more involved work I call in the licensed professionals.
